About Orion Counselling Service
My name is Linda Banting. I am a person centred counsellor in private practice. I also work as a Cancer Care Counsellor for a local service and have worked with young people in a busy secondary school. I use an integrative, humanistic approach, taking my lead from the person I am with at all times. If you are feeling overwhelmed or confused by current or past life experiences, I can offer a gentle listening ear to help you understand what is happening for you. Being listened to and accepted is hugely important to our personal wellbeing and as such, I promise to offer a safe, respectful, supportive and non judgemental counselling environment. You may like to know that I am able to offer a range of creative and mindful techniques within my practice and how we work together will depend entirely on your wishes and needs. You may feel a little nervous about counselling and taking that first step may be a bit scary for you. The first step is to contact me and we can talk about what sort of help you think you might need and I can explain how I might be able to help.

People often ask as to what the benefits of counselling are?
Research continues to show us that being able to talk to someone who listens without judgement, can help lead to a sense of relief, an ‘unburdening’. Counselling can help with working through problems, help you gain a different perspective on what is happening for you, building confidence and appreciating that there are always options for you.
