People are just as wonderful as sunsets if I can let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a little on the right hand corner, and put a bit more purple along the base, and use a little more pink in the cloud colour." I don't do that. I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch it with awe as it unfolds.

A bit about me
My counselling qualification is in Person-Centred Counselling (Diploma in Integrative Counselling) and I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). This means that I am accountable for my service and I adhere to the NCPS ethical framework for good practice. The code of ethics are listed on their website here. I have extensive experience of working as a counsellor in Cancer Care Services for the NHS and as a School Counsellor in a secondary school. Prior to counselling, for 20 years, I had the privilege of working alongside people in a socially minded charity, assisting people both with gaining new skills, career advice and moving into gainful employment. This is where I found my interest in counselling and started my counselling training. Counselling training takes on average 5 years. I enjoy learning and find myself regularly engaged with ongoing professional development.
